Coal Mining Equipment Introduce

Coal mill also called coal pulverzier or coal powder mill is grinding
mill that is used in coal mining industry, such as vertical coal mill.
And in general, vertical mill includes mineral series and coal series.
The first series grinder can be widely used in cement making, power,
metallurgy, chemical, ore industries. And the vertical coal mill also
called coal grinder is the most used machine for coal grinding according
to our mining experience. In some cases, coal mill is not just one
grinder mill, it will include some optional equipment such as vibrating
feeder, vibrating screen, belt conveyors and so on to finish the coal
milling process. So, coal mill is also used widely in many industries
besides coal mining.
Coal mill classification

Coal mill is an efficient tool for grinding coals into fine powder in
coal mining industry. According to its fineness and working principles,
we divide coal mill into coarse power coal mill and fine coal mill.
Coarse powder mill is a kind of new high-tech milling machine to meet
the requirements of coarse powder processing customers. It is the ideal
equipment to replace Raymond mill, ball mill, and other traditional mill
which only process fine coal powder materials.
Coal mill working principle

Raw coal is fed through a central coal inlet at the top of the
pulverizer and falls by gravity to the rotating grinding table, mixing
with classifier rejects returned for re-grinding. Centrifugal action
forces the coal outward to the grinding ring where it is pulverized
between the ring and three grinding rollers. Grinding load, transmitted
from the tension rods through the loading frame to the roller
assemblies, holds the rollers in contact with the grinding ring. The
rollers adjust vertically as the depth of the coal load increases or
decreases.

A nozzle ring on the outside perimeter of the grinding ring feeds
primary air to the pulverizer. Pyrites and tramp metal fall through the
nozzle ring openings to be scraped into a rejects hopper.

A stream of low-velocity air carries the particles of pulverized coal
upward where they enter the classifier inlet vanes. Fine particles
travel to the burners in the primary air stream, but the larger, heavier
particles are returned to the grinding zone for further pulverization.

Aleris Signs Joint Venture Agreement for Greenfield Rolling Mill in China

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Aleris International, Inc. has

signed a joint venture agreement with Zhenjiang Dingsheng Aluminum
Industries Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. for the construction of a
state-of-the-art aluminum rolling mill in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu
Province in China that will produce semi-finished rolled aluminum
products. Aleris will be the majority owner in the venture.


"This agreement demonstrates our commitment to China," said Steven J.
Demetriou, Aleris chairman and chief executive officer. "The investment
in this facility is a key component of our growth strategy, which
includes a significant focus on serving customers in China.
"With this venture, Aleris and Dingsheng will build and operate one of
the most technologically advanced rolling mills in the world. Dingsheng
is a distinguished company with recognized manufacturing expertise and
strong leadership, and we are pleased to be working with them. We also
appreciate and value the support of the Jiangsu Province and the City of
Zhenjiang."
Construction of the plant will begin upon receipt of the customary
government approvals and is expected to be completed within two years.

Foulath Steel to take over Saudi rolling mill

The National reported that the Kuwaiti and Japanese JV behind Bahrain's USD 1.2 billion Hidd Steel Mill project is planning to acquire a steel rolling mill in Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain's biggest steel company will take over a Saudi rival by next month as it pushes on with an expansion effort to become the Middle East's first fully integrated producer. The acquisition will allow the company to drop plans to build an additional plant in Bahrain and accelerate its timescale of delivering steel products from light to heavy sections by 3 years.

The Hidd Steel Mill in Bahrain is being constructed by United Steel Company, JV of the Bahrain based United Steel Holding Company and Japan's Yamato Kogyo Company.

Mr Khalid Al Qadeeri CMD of Sulb said that "Sulb won the tender and we are in negotiations to acquire a rolling mill in Saudi Arabia. We are in the final stages of due diligence and confident that we will conclude the deal by November.

Mr Khalid Al Qadeeri vice CMD of Foulath said that Foulath's acquisition reflects its strategy to control every link in the steel supply chain from iron ore mines to the output of finished products all with a view towards lowering its costs of production in a continued down market.

Mr Al Qadeeri said that the company would commit billions of dollars to its expansion effort and would put up as much as 70% equity in each investment. In a good market everyone makes money in a bad market, if you're not integrated, you won't survive. You can't survive as a standalone. Other regional producers including the UAE's Emirates Steel Industries and Saudi Arabia's Hadeed have pursued their own integration strategies but have yet to invest in raw material pellet plants or iron ore supply. The billets will be transported via barge from Bahrain to the new mill.

Mr Robin Parker the regional manager for Stemcor said that prices for imported steel rebar in the Gulf, a benchmark for the industry have increased 16.5% over the past 12 months to USD 600 per tonne. Prices could hit USD 700 per tonne next year.

Mr Al Qadeeri said that Foulath's acquisition target a steel mill in Saudi Arabia will be fed by barge with steel pellets produced at its plants in Bahrain. It is also building USD 1.2 billion three part steel plant in Bahrain, adjacent to its pellet plants that will turn a portion of the pellets into finished, heavy steel products such as I beams for the construction industry.

He said that the plant is 49% owned by Yamato Kogyo, a Japanese company, and is due to be completed by the beginning of 2013. Foulath's goal is that half of the pellet output from Bahrain will be steered towards In house steel making plants including the acquisition in Saudi Arabia.

Faster Production of Inside Threads

With the development of CNC machine tools, thread milling was introduced as an additional possibility. Here, the thread is milled into the hole using specific circular and feed motions of the tool. Each of these three methods is suited to different applications.

The "Classic" Method: Tapping

In conventional tapping, material is removed in a continuous cut. Tapping comes up against its limits in materials with hardness greater than 60 HRC, as well as in deep threads, where problems arise related to dimensional accuracy and tool breakage due to chip-removal difficulty.

Chipless: Cold-Form Tapping

Cold-form tapping is used for materials with a strength of less than 1200 N/mm2 and a stretch-at-break of more than 8 percent. Thanks to cold-forming, this chipless process achieves threads with higher static and dynamic strength in combination with very good surface quality.

However, the disadvantages of cold-form tapping include the high torques compared to conventional tapping, as well as the need for high-quality lubricants.

Productive and Precise: Thread Milling

Thread milling is suitable for almost all materials and offers the greatest flexibility and productivity. Thread flanks are machined cleanly and there is no axial miscut. For hard-to-machine materials, thread milling tends to be the best method. One underappreciated advantage is the fact that when the tool breaks, it can be removed easily. The restrictions on thread milling relate to the thread depth, which can generally be no more than 3 times the thread diameter.

Whatever threading method is used, one thing is certain: With the thread cycles in today's advanced CNC software modules, programming is quick and easy.

Cycles for the Production of Inside Threads

The actual programming requirements of inside threads are complex, because a number of math values have to be taken into consideration. Advanced CNC thread cycles can take care of this complexity in an efficient manner. These cycles ask input factors including the required tool, thread depth and cutting speed, as well as procedure-specific parameters.

Those procedure-specific inputs take into account the individual characteristics of the particular tapping operation—such as, for example, whether the conventional tapping thread is to be produced in a single cut or via chipbreaking. If yes, the reversal movement and change in direction of rotation for chip breaking can be automatically programmed the software.

Linking of Work Steps

Separate work steps typically also are needed for the production of inside threads. For example, the hole is centered and pre-drilled before the inside thread is created. If the workpiece contains several identical inside threads, then these work steps must be repeated for each position. To reduce the programming work involved, sub-programs can be created that are called up for the various positions.

In fact, with the proper CNC software, programming of these steps can be carried out even more efficiently. All the work steps are programmed just once, then linked via a position pattern. The programming for centering, drilling and tapping is created one time, applying to all positions of the pattern. Configurable cycles for lines, hole circles, grids, frames and special positions are available as these position patterns.
